GREEN EGGS AND HAM by Dr. SEUSS

Dr. Seuss thought traditional reading books were boring, so he set out to write a fun story using only limited number of words. He tried to write a story using only 50 words and he won the challenge with GREEN EGGS AND HAM. Sam-I-am really wants his friend to eat green eggs and ham. He isn’t going to take no for an answer.

Justification

I read this story to my children and to my pupils. They always like it and learn most of the words from the story in a funny way. I tried to record myself an find my own mistakes, my mispronounced words.

Reflection

  1. Eggs – I pronounced too long e and I wasn’t aware of it. A Slavic common problem!
  2. /ð/ - I need work on this phoneme to sound it more natural.
  3. The sentence: And I would eat them … did not flow smoothly.
